GABAGOOL

Located in the Jack’s Station building in St. John’s, Gabagool is a local go-to spot for artisanal hand crafted italian food. The interior layout was driven by the owner’s request for a very open kitchen, which was connected to the service area which is the center of a centrally located horseshoe shaped bar. Natural light floods the restaurant on 3 sides, with large overhead doors which connect the interior to a generous covered outdoor seating area. Custom planters were designed to define the outdoor seating and landscaping was used to create a vibrantly colorful entry sequence and welcome the guest before they reach the front door. Custom millwork was used to maximize seating along the windows while the salvaged tabletops were locally sourced and fabricated.
