COOK AND LYON
The old Mr. Formal building on Grand Ave on the Central East Side is getting tastefully restored via revealed transom windows, energy upgrades and emphasis of its historical facade details. The new program will consist of a restaurant, three retail tenant, and two office spaces. All street facing tenants have generous storefronts, inviting entrances and access to shared ammenities off a common area hallway. Signage and lighting will be used to differentiate and animate the building for passing motorists, as well as pedestrians. Light is used as an architectural material, with columnar lighting being contextually appropriate to the historic district and to contribute to an enhanced pedestrian experience.
